Raquel’s Events — Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
 By booking services, submitting payments, signing a proposal or agreement, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all planning, coordination, design, styling, draping, rental, and event-related services provided by Raquel’s Events.
2. Services
Raquel’s Events provides event planning, event design, styling, draping installations, coordination, and related event services for social and corporate celebrations.
Services are customized for each client and outlined within the client’s proposal, invoice, or signed agreement.
3. Booking & Retainer
A signed agreement and non-refundable retainer are required to secure event dates and services.

  • Dates are not reserved until both the signed agreement and retainer payment are received.

  • All retainers/payments made toward services are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Final balances must be paid according to the payment schedule outlined in the agreement.

  • Failure to make payments may result in cancellation of services.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payments may be made via approved payment methods listed on invoices.

  • Late payments may incur additional fees.

  • Raquel’s Events reserves the right to pause work or withhold services until balances are paid in full.

  • Final payment must be received before event setup or execution begins unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Design & Creative Direction
Raquel’s Events maintains creative discretion regarding styling, layout, and design execution.
While inspiration images may be used as reference points:

  • Exact duplication of another designer’s work is not guaranteed.

  • Final designs may vary based on venue limitations, inventory availability, weather conditions, vendor substitutions, lighting, and overall event logistics.

  • Minor adjustments may be made to improve functionality, safety, or overall design cohesion.

6. Event Changes & Revisions
Clients must communicate all requested changes in writing.
Additional fees may apply for:

  • Guest count increases

  • Scope increases

  • Additional setup/installations

  • Timeline extensions

  • Last-minute changes

  • Additional rentals or staffing

Raquel’s Events reserves the right to decline major changes made within a reasonable proximity to the event date.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If the client cancels:

  • Payments previously made are non-refundable.

  • Cancellation does not release the client from unpaid balances for custom products, rentals, labor already secured, or third-party vendor commitments.

If the client requests to reschedule:

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability.

  • Additional fees may apply.

  • Previously paid amounts may only transfer at the discretion of Raquel’s Events.

8. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to:

  • Provide accurate event details

  • Ensure access to the venue during scheduled setup and breakdown times

  • Obtain venue approvals and permissions when required

  • Communicate venue restrictions, insurance requirements, and regulations

  • Ensure a safe work environment for all staff and vendors

9. Venue & Site Conditions
Raquel’s Events is not responsible for:

  • Venue-related delays or restrictions

  • Power outages

  • Weather conditions

  • Inadequate venue access

  • Damages caused by venue staff, guests, or third-party vendors

Additional labor fees may apply for:

  • Excessive stairs

  • Long load-in distances

  • Limited setup windows

  • Outdoor setups requiring additional equipment or protection

10. Rentals & Damages
Clients are financially responsible for:

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged rental items

  • Damages caused by guests, vendors, venue staff, or misuse

  • Missing inventory not returned after the event

Replacement or repair costs will be charged accordingly.
 
 
11. Setup & Breakdown
Setup and breakdown times will be determined by Raquel’s Events based on event logistics and venue access.
Unauthorized teardown, movement, or alteration of installations by guests or vendors is prohibited.
12. Floral & Decor Disclaimer
Fresh florals, candles, balloons, fabrics, and specialty décor items are subject to:

  • Seasonal availability

  • Vendor substitutions

  • Weather and temperature conditions

  • Natural variation in color, texture, and appearance

Raquel’s Events will make reasonable efforts to maintain the overall design aesthetic.
13. Photography & Marketing Usage
Raquel’s Events reserves the right to photograph and video event setups and use event content for:

  • Portfolio purposes

  • Social media

  • Marketing materials

  • Website content

  • Promotional publications

Clients may request privacy restrictions in writing before the event date.
14. Limitation of Liability
Raquel’s Events shall not be held liable for:

  • Acts of God

  • Weather conditions

  • Venue issues

  • Vendor failures

  • Guest injuries

  • Delays outside reasonable control

  • Losses caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control

Maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for services rendered.
15. Force Majeure
Raquel’s Events shall not be considered in breach of contract due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters

  • Severe weather

  • Government restrictions

  • Illness

  • Emergencies

  • Labor shortages

  • Transportation interruptions

16. Intellectual Property
All designs, concepts, mockups, proposals, pricing guides, graphics, templates, and creative materials created by Raquel’s Events remain the intellectual property of Raquel’s Events unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Unauthorized reproduction or redistribution is prohibited.
17. Website Use
All content on this website, including images, branding, graphics, copy, and materials, may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.
Website pricing, availability, and service offerings are subject to change without notice.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Any disputes arising under these terms shall be handled in the appropriate courts located in Florida.
19. Acceptance
By submitting payment, signing an agreement, booking services, or using this website, the client acknowledges and agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
